For the first time DONIC is equipment supplier of a big event in Croatia

For the first time in history, Croatia - the country with only 4,5 Million inhabitants, but with a long tradition as organizer of big table tennis events- has decided for a cooperation with DONIC as equipment supplier.

The town Poreč and the region Istria are looking forward to the European Veteran Table Tennis Championships 2009 which will take place from Monday, 15 June 2009 till Saturday, 20 June 2009. Poreč is a town which is known for its culture and entertainment and especially famous for being very sports-friendly – several sports halls, various sports facilities as well as hotels and appartments of all categories provide the best conditions for preparatory courses for athlethes of all kinds of sport. Throughout the whole year in Poreč you can meet athlethes from all parts of Europe who prepare for upcoming events. The town Poreč does not only strive to invite athlethes for training camps and tourists to its beaches, but also organizes a lot of sports and cultural events. Thus in 2009 Poreč won't only be the venue of the Vetheran European Championships in Table Tennis, but also the host town of several matches of the Handball World Championships.

Poreč has already proved to be a good venue for such events. Apart from the event itself, the town offers various possibilities for leisure activities and relaxation and the organizer will do everything possible to organize the European Championships at highest level.

Due to the cooperation with DONIC it is guaranteed that the event will be held on high quality playing material (DONIC Waldner Classic 25 tables and DONIC 3-Star balls) and therefore the stage is set for first-class table tennis.
